Maggi Brand – Indigenous Food – Great Favour
Known worldwide for innovation and quality, Maggi is a leading culinary brand and part of the Nestlé family of fine foods and beverages. Maggi offers through the world a whole range of culinary products, including packaged soups, frozen meals, prepared sauces and flavorings.
Julius Michael Johannes Maggi, the brand’s founder, was born in 1846 in Switzerland., the oldest son of an immigrant Italian and a Swiss national. In 1863 he developed a formula for bringing added taste to meals, which would later lead to the launch of Maggi and convenience food products.
By the turn of the century, Maggi & Company under which name Julius’ developed and produced his line of products, was producing not only instant powdered soups, but also bouillon cubes, sauces and flavorings. Maggi merged with Nestlé in 1947.
Maggi has continued this great tradition of taste and innovation in the Caribbean where it has emerged as the solution provider to homemakers, culinary novices and experts alike.
